The training now utilizes more multimedia, video and engaging content. In fact, we have completely updated and reproduced our training videos. Voice-over throughout the training classes make it even easier for employees to understand the HIPAA regulations and how to protect patient information.

While employees need to understand the HIPAA regulations and what they can and can’t do with patient information, it is also important for them to understand current threats to patient information. The updated HIPAA training focuses on the threats of malware, phishing scams and ransomware. Criminals are targeting healthcare organizations and it is extremely important for employees to know how to recognize phishing scams, phone scams and social media scams.

If you are a client of HIPAA Secure Now!, the new 2017 classes have been updated in your account. There is nothing you need to do to access the new training. Let your employees know they need to log into the HIPAA Compliance Portal and access the training in the Education Center. Once they go through the HIPAA training, they will take the HIPAA training quiz and then print their training certificate upon passing the quiz. The training report will reflect the employees that have taken the 2017 HIPAA training.
